Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Legal Expert — Immigration (Project Donna) for a contract role, remote and about 6 hours per week. You will read a synthetic legal matter and its underlying documents, and review blinded AI deliverables for the matter.

You must be a qualified lawyer with substantive business immigration experience, able to judge work products for correctness and usefulness, and possess precise written English. You will work independently to deadlines and sign an NDA.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with substantive practice in business immigration.
• Ability to judge work product holistically for correctness and usefulness.

• Ability to work independently to written instructions and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read a synthetic legal matter and its underlying documents.
• Review six blinded AI deliverables (A–F) for the matter.
• Make five head-to-head comparisons against a common comparator output.
• Write a short, specific rationale for every preference.
• Ensure all work is covered by NDA and refrain from using external AI tools on any project material.
• Work independently to written instructions and meet deadlines.
