Job summary

Pintupi Homelands Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (PHHSAC) seeks a General Practitioner to deliver primary health care to the Pintupi community in Kintore. You will provide culturally safe, client-centred care addressing wellness and adhere to PHHS policies and clinical guidelines.

The role includes after-hours care, management of long-term conditions, and coordinating referrals within a multidisciplinary team in a highly remote setting.

Qualifications

• Specialist General Practitioner registration with AHPRA.
• Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM.
• Availability to travel by air and/or road on a regular basis.
• National Police Clearance.
• Ability to obtain and hold a “Working with Children” NT Ochre card.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality primary health care services to the community, in keeping with best practice standards.
• Take ultimate responsibility for clinical decisions for patients.
• Deliver care to patients of all ages with appropriate referrals when needed.
• Provide after hours, on call and other services as applicable.
• Manage long-term conditions per national guidelines; prescribe as needed.
• Offer health promotion and preventative care advice.
• Order diagnostic tests as required.
• Refer patients to other providers when appropriate.
• Provide off-site care to improve access when needed.
