Job summary

Institute for Urban Indigenous Health is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver primary care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients in a community-controlled health service setting. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive preventive care and coordinate services across the Southeast Queensland region.

The role emphasises culturally safe care, strong partnerships with local health providers, and leadership in care planning for clients with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medicine or equivalent medical degree with AHPRA registration.
• MBBS and unconditional registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Current CPR certificate and active medical indemnity insurance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality electronic patient records.
• Utilise recall systems to support individual care and identify population health needs.
• Establish strong linkages with other health providers for coordinated care.
• Lead multidisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive preventive health assessments.
• Oversee referral pathways to specialists and allied health services.
