Job summary

Compass Group Australia is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a large team at Eureka Village in Central Queensland. The role is hands-on, focusing on training, performance management and compliance with contract obligations.

The position offers a 9 days on/5 off roster with 10x hour shifts, FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO from Mackay with accommodation and meals provided. You will drive safe work practices and develop your team to meet high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar supervisory role leading a large diverse team.
• Commercial experience in hotel, mining or resort environments preferable.
• Ability to lead a team and ownership of performance outcomes.
• Commitment to a positive and sustainable safety culture.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test.
• Standard 11 Certificate is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a housekeeping team to ensure facilities are clean and compliant with contractual obligations.
• Train, lead and motivate staff, working with management to achieve results.
• Active hands-on involvement with the team in daily operations.
• Train new employees and conduct prestart meetings.
• Address performance issues and reinforce safety ethics.
• Prepare and submit performance reports and field leadership updates.
