Job summary

Katherine West Health Board in Lajamanu, NT, is recruiting a Remote General Practitioner on a FIFO roster one month on, one month off. Work schedule is 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, with a vehicle provided for travel between clinics.

The role involves diverse chronic and acute cases within a remote primary care team and occasional venue visits to satellite clinics.

Qualifications

• Current specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Fellow of RACGP or ACRRM, or at least three years' GP experience.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to Aboriginal communities.
• Experience supervising GP registrars is advantageous.
• Broad-based primary care for rural/remote practice.

Responsibilities

• FIFO roster – one month on and one month off.
• Contribute to comprehensive medical care within a primary health care team.
• Manage a diverse caseload encompassing chronic diseases and acute care.
• Occasional day visits to satellite clinics; travel may involve car/plane.
