Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Service Engineer to lead on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment and power electronics systems. The role requires extensive travel (90%+) domestically and internationally, delivering safe, reliable service across industrial, energy, and marine environments.

You will supervise installation activities, provide technical guidance, and ensure quality field delivery while adhering to HSE policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Trade-qualified Electrician also acceptable with relevant hands-on experience.
Solid understanding of power electronics and electrical power systems.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-commissioning, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of SFCs, VFDs, low- and medium-voltage drives, switchgear, transformers, and power systems.
Provide on-site technical guidance to customers during installation, commissioning, and service activities.
Generate timely safety and service status reports and ensure quality on field projects.
Deliver on-site training and guidance on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
Interface with customers and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
