Job summary

Bluefin Resources Pty is partnering with a Federal Government organisation to recruit an experienced Contract Manager for a 12-month contract with extensions. You will oversee contract performance, procurement and governance within a national program delivery team.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure obligations are met, risks controlled and procurement complies with Commonwealth legislation and policies. Prior government experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in contract management.
• Experience managing performance, variations, extensions and compliance.
• Knowledge of Commonwealth procurement frameworks, including the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent written communication skills, including preparing briefs and reports.
• Experience using procurement or financial management systems such as SAP.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify risks and deliver practical solutions.
• Experience within Federal Government or regulated environment is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contract performance and identify risks, and manage contractual obligations.
• Manage contract variations, extensions and associated documentation.
• Provide specialist advice on procurement, contract governance and compliance.
• Prepare executive briefs, Board papers, reports and contract-related documentation.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes, reporting and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with the PGPA Act, Commonwealth Procurement Rules and relevant policies.
