Job summary

Maribyrnong City Council seeks an experienced Executive Officer to lead transport policy discussions for the Melbourne Transport Forum. The role is remote/work from home with options for co-working spaces, and you will support the MTF Executive to set strategic direction and influence transport conversations across Melbourne.

You will build partnerships with NGOs, local government, state and federal agencies, source funding, develop policy, undertake advocacy, and expand communications.

Qualifications

• Experience sourcing funding for not-for-profit or purpose-driven organisations.
• Experience developing policy and advocacy strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to deliver submissions.
• Ability to work independently and with an Executive Committee.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive to set strategic direction for transport conversations.
• Influence transport policy making and advocate with partners.
• Foster partnerships with NGOs, local government, and government agencies.
• Grow communications, policy, advocacy, and sector networking.
• Coordinate monthly meetings and manage budget submissions.
