Job summary

His Medical Clinic is recruiting a Consultant Endocrinologist to provide specialist advice, complex case review and clinical guidance to our GP network across men’s and women’s health. This remote, as-needed role offers flexible input alongside your existing practice, with opportunities for protocol development and GP education.

You will support diagnostic clarification, interpretation of investigations and treatment decisions, while ensuring ongoing management and shared care where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration including specialist endocrinology.
• FRACP with specialist training in endocrinology or equivalent.
• Indemnity insurance covering the proposed telehealth work.
• Experience in adult endocrinology and metabolic health.
• Strong clinical judgement and commitment to evidence-based practice.
• Collaborative approach with GPs and multidisciplinary teams.
• Confidence providing telehealth consultations and shared care.
• Clear communication and practical shared-care approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist endocrine advice to GPs on presentations, investigations and management.
• Review clinical histories, pathology, imaging and treatment responses.
• Support diagnostic clarification, appropriate prescribing and follow-up.
• Conduct telehealth consultations where specialist input is needed.
• Develop recommendations and shared care plans with GPs.
• Identify need for further investigation, local assessment or referral.
• Contribute input to clinical protocols and governance processes.
• Support GP learning through case discussions and clinical guidance.
• Maintain clear documentation of advice and follow-up responsibilities.
