Job summary

MacDonnell Regional Council is seeking a capable leader to coordinate council services in remote communities, several hours from Alice Springs. You will lead a small team delivering waste collection, road maintenance, parks and cemetery services as part of municipal operations.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising, mentoring or coordinating a team.
• Operational, maintenance or service-delivery experience.
• Strong planning, reporting and computer skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors and involved in field work.

• Current driver licence and willingness to travel on unsealed roads.

Responsibilities

• Inspect communities and identify work needing attention.
• Brief crews and organise daily priorities.
• Supervise, mentor and support local employees.
• Coordinate equipment, vehicles and maintenance.
• Manage budgets, records and operational reports.
• Collaborate with community members and local organisations.
• Step in to drive a truck or assist on site when required.
