Job summary

FRRR (Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal) is seeking a Community Philanthropy Coordinator to oversee day-to-day support for community foundations, fundraising accounts and philanthropic service partners.

The role can be performed remotely anywhere in Australia on a 0.8 FTE basis, reporting to the Social Infrastructure Manager, and involves coordinating donor reporting and partner engagement to strengthen community philanthropy.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of rural and regional communities and community-led approaches.
• Ability to build and manage relationships with external partners and internal teams.
• Experience coordinating delivery of community initiatives, events and engagement activities.
• Capability with systems, data and evolving technology, including AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day support for community foundations, fundraising accounts and philanthropic service partners, ensuring timely, accurate and responsive service.
• Maintain partner records, workflows, reporting schedules, agreements and correspondence to support high-quality service delivery.
• Coordinate routine donor and partner communications, including onboarding, updates, reporting inputs and follow-up actions.
• Support partnership development by researching prospects, tracking opportunities and maintaining pipelines and contact records.
• Help coordinate events, meetings, campaigns and engagement activities that strengthen partnerships and stewardship.
• Support the coordination and delivery of community philanthropy initiatives, learning activities and network engagement.
• Maintain accurate systems, templates and administrative processes across philanthropic services and business development.
• Track delivery milestones, deadlines and reporting requirements to ensure commitments are met.
• Provide capability building support for community philanthropy partners, helping strengthen their skills, systems and confidence in philanthropic delivery.
• Work closely with Finance, Grants, Communications, Partnerships and other internal teams to support smooth delivery.
