Job summary

Sydney Enosi is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join a DevOps-driven team. You will rotate across infrastructure and observability engineering, learning to contribute to both software and infrastructure domains.

The role is suitable for recent graduates or those who have undertaken a learn-to-code path. You will gain experience with AWS, Terraform, Go, React, and GraphQL, with six-month rotations leading to a potential permanent role in software or infrastructure streams.

Qualifications

• You’ve completed your degree or coursework in software engineering or related field.
• You’ve shown interest through personal projects beyond education.
• You may have 1–2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• You understand the importance of maintaining source code using Git repositories.
• You are aware of the software development life cycle and continuous deployment culture.
• You understand the importance of clear documentation and are willing to contribute.
• You have experience with cloud providers (AWS).
• You’ve learned Terraform to simplify infrastructure, Go for serverless/container solutions, and React/GraphQL for frontend projects.
• You’ve spent time with Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Introduce new React components to Powertracer’s frontend.
• Own the introduction of new API features in our microservices.
• Integrate API features from microservices through GraphQL for frontend use.
• Refine observability across all services, including the frontend.
• Refactor Terraform modules used in deploying infrastructure and applications.
