Job summary

The Aussie Locums is seeking experienced Remote Area Nurses to fill locum contracts across the Northern Territory. Expect 4–12 week assignments with on-call duties and travel between remote communities.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Remote Area Nurse or in Emergency/Primary Care in remote settings.
• Immunisation provider certification and on-call experience.
• ISTAT competency with certification and access number.
• ALS and BLS (updated annually).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, culturally sensitive primary healthcare in remote areas.
• Promote health education and preventative care within the community.
• Administer immunisations and other necessary treatments.
• Be part of an on-call roster, providing emergency care as needed.
• Work both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
