Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Cybersecurity Penetration Testing Expert (AI Security) to probe and stress-test AI-powered applications and infrastructure. This fully remote, hourly contract role offers flexible hours (10–40 hours/week) and the chance to impact the security of AI systems used at scale.

The ideal candidate has extensive penetration testing experience with web, network, and API security, proficient using Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap and Kali Linux, and can report findings clearly with

Qualifications

Experience in penetration testing across web, network and API security.
Familiarity with OWASP, PTES and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
Ability to translate findings into clear, actionable reports.

Responsibilities

Conduct penetration tests against AI-powered applications, APIs, and infrastructure.
Identify weaknesses in AI/ML pipelines, including prompt injection and data poisoning vectors.
Perform security assessments using standard tools and methodologies.
Simulate real-world attack scenarios from recon to post-exploitation.
Document findings with severity ratings, evidence, and remediation guidance.
Evaluate AI-specific attack surfaces including adversarial inputs and data exfiltration risks.
Stay current with AI security threats and improve testing methodologies.
Work independently on engagements and schedule.
