Job summary

Beacon Building Services (BBS) is expanding its team and seeks an experienced Remedial Construction Estimator in Melbourne. You will prepare repair and refurb reports, analyze engineering docs, and develop BOQs and cost plans for diverse projects.

The role requires 5+ years in remedial or rectification estimating, with strong knowledge of defects, waterproofing, and structural repairs. Collaboration with clients and project teams is essential for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in remedial/rectification construction estimating.
• Strong understanding of building defects, water ingress, concrete repair, façade remediation, waterproofing and structural rectification.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and building reports.
• Attention to detail with analytical and negotiating skills.
• Proactive attitude and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate reports and estimates for repair and refurb projects.
• Analyse building reports, engineering documentation, and site inspections.
• Prepare BOQs, tender submissions, and cost plans.
• Identify project risks and propose value-engineering solutions.
• Liaise with clients, strata managers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
