Job summary

State of Victoria is seeking a Remand Program Facilitator to coordinate and deliver programs for remand prisoners at Hopkins Correctional Centre in Ararat. The role supports release planning and transition back into the community, working with service providers to deliver the Reintegration Pathway.

You will coordinate structured programs, assist with assessments and parole processes, and maintain records while collaborating with prison staff to improve program delivery.

Qualifications

• Program facilitation experience with individuals and groups, including psycho-educational programs.
• Risk assessment skills and the ability to use assessment tools with individual prisoners.
• Resilience and communication skills, with the ability to work with people who are difficult to engage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate structured programs for remand prisoners, both alone and with service providers.
• Support individual prisoners through assessments, parole applications and case review processes.
• Maintain accurate records of referrals, attendance, scheduling and program outcomes.
• Help deliver the Corrections Victoria Reintegration Pathway and connect prisoners with services before and after release.
• Work with prison staff and service providers to solve issues and improve effective program delivery.
