Religious Education Teacher - Junior School

Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney’s North Shore. Ravenswood offers both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the PYP in the Junior School. We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Junior School Religious Education Teacher to join our dedicated team on a temporary part-time basis. This role will involve working three days a week—Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The position will commence either in Term 1 or at the beginning of Term 2 and is temporary until the end of Term 2, 2026.

At Ravenswood, we aim to inspire students' interest in their studies, both in the classroom and through co-curricular experiences. The successful applicant will be an engaging and effective classroom practitioner who demonstrates creativity and rigor in the delivery of curriculum and enjoys working in a committed, professional team.

To be successful in securing this position you will demonstrate:

  1. A strong and personal understanding of the Christian faith
  2. Ability to teach Religious Education for students from Prep to Year 6
  3. Willingness to teach a Year 12 RE class desirable but not required
  4. An interest in Social Justice initiatives
  5. Strong ICT Skills
  6. The ability to differentiate in the delivery of curriculum
  7. A flexible and collegial approach
  8. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
