Job summary

St Andrew’s Primary School, Marayong, is seeking an Assistant Religious Education Coordinator (Coordinator 1) / Classroom Teacher for a full-time, permanent appointment starting in Term 1, 2027. The role combines classroom teaching with leadership duties supporting the Religious Education Coordinator and implementing Encountering Jesus CSPD curriculum.

Qualifications

• Hold recognised tertiary qualifications in Primary Education.
• NESA accreditation or be eligible to obtain accreditation.
• Category D Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
• Hold a valid Working with Children Check.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to Catholic faith and mission.
• Willingness to lead, support and empower others.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to Catholic identity and mission.
• Deliver engaging, contemporary and inclusive classroom learning.
• Support the Religious Education Coordinator in implementing Encountering Jesus, CSPD curriculum.
• Assist with professional learning, faith formation and resourcing of RE teachers.
• Support development and review of RE programs, assessment and reporting.
• Build staff capability and share RE practice through collaboration and learning.
• Contribute to the school's Mission Team and leadership networks.
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, parish and community.
