Salary $81,626 to $95,123 +Super (subject to exp)

A bit about the role

What you’ll deliver

  • Support the delivery of emergency management projects, training, and exercises to enhance organisational readiness and community resilience.
  • Maintain and audit emergency management systems, including Emergency Relief Centre (ERC) and Municipal Emergency Coordination Centre (MECC) plans and equipment.
  • Assist in managing the City of Casey’s Emergency Management Shadow Structure, including developing plans, procedures, and training materials.
  • Provide operational support during emergencies, including assisting the Duty MRM and MEMO to implement emergency plans and procedures.
  • Administer the Vulnerable Persons and Vulnerable Facilities Registers in line with State Government policy.

What you’ll bring

  • A sound understanding of Victoria’s emergency management arrangements, especially in a local government context (highly desirable).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training or emergency exercises.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, flexible, and professional attitude, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check.
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
