Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a Kitchen Hand to support our on-site kitchen team in Melbourne. You will help prepare a weekly selection of meals for breakfast and lunch, maintain cleanliness, and restock supplies as required. You will also assist with general housekeeping duties in the kitchen area.

This role focuses on efficient food preparation, cleanliness, and teamwork in a busy kitchen environment, supporting a positive dining experience for staff and visitors.

• Keep kitchen and dining areas tidy and dishware clean
• Restock prep-food supplies as needed
• Assist with housekeeping duties in the kitchen area
• Wash dishes and ensure cleanliness at end of day

Job description

As a Kitchen Hand, you will be a valued kitchen crew member. You will be required to prepare a weekly selection of delicious meals, in our on-site kitchen for breakfast and lunch.
An average day may include any or all of the following tasks:

• Preparation of daily meals
• Staying on top of dishes, tidy the kitchen and dining areas
• Restocking of PREP-FOOD
• Help out with any housekeeping duties that are required
• Washing dishes and ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are cleaned at the end of each day
