Job summary

Adecco Australia Group is seeking a reliable Yard Hand / Forklift Operator to join our client’s team in Dubbo, NSW. The role involves yard-based forklift operation, stock movement and loading trucks and customer vehicles, with emphasis on safety, reliability and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will operate forklift safely in the yard, move and organise stock, and support general yard duties while learning our client’s product range and processes.

Qualifications

• Good practical forklift operating experience.
• Experience moving and positioning different-sized loads.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Willingness to learn.
• Physically capable of undertaking yard duties.
• Excellent reliability and attendance.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a forklift within the yard.
• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Loading products onto customer vehicles.
• Moving and organising stock throughout the yard.
• Safely handling long-length and awkward products.
• Selecting and identifying the correct products for orders.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Following site safety procedures and instructions.
• Assisting with general yard duties as required.
• Learning our client’s product range and processes.
