Job summary

United Rentals Australia Pty Limited is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our WA yard and workshop. You’ll safely move equipment, support yard operations, and help maintain high safety and productivity standards while delivering reliable service to our customers.

This hands-on role requires daily pre-start inspections, reporting maintenance needs, and collaborating with teammates to keep equipment and processes running smoothly in a busy logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Current LF Forklift Licence.
• Minimum three years’ forklift operation and container handling experience.
• Experience operating forklifts in industrial, logistics, transport, manufacturing, or container yard environments.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
• Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence working with tools and equipment.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and container handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move equipment throughout the yard and workshop in accordance with safety procedures.
• Complete daily forklift pre-start inspections and report maintenance requirements.
• Support equipment movements, storage, and general yard operations.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas to a high standard.
• Complete equipment and gate movement records accurately.
• Assist with housekeeping, waste management, and maintaining 5S standards.
• Support other operational activities and team members as required.
• Identify and report hazards, equipment faults, delays, or safety concerns.
