Job summary

Whitehaven Coal's Blackwater Mine is seeking an experienced Reliability and Strategy Superintendent to lead the reliability department, shaping asset strategy and continuous improvement for the electric draglines and shovels.

You will build and mentor a high‑performing team, drive KPI delivery, optimise maintenance strategies, enhance MTBF and fleet availability, and partner with maintenance and operations to achieve safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma with supervisory experience in reliability engineering.
• Experience in asset management within mining or heavy industry.
• Willingness to obtain RIIRIS301E, RIWHS301E and RIICOM301E.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the reliability department’s performance, asset strategy and continuous improvement for electric draglines and shovels.
• Build and mentor a high performing team to improve fleet reliability and maintenance outcomes.
• Deliver fleet performance improvements across the operation and optimise MTBF and availability.
• Partner with maintenance and operations to drive safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.
