Job summary

Yancoal Australia Ltd is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer (Mechanical) to join the MTW Infrastructure team on a full-time basis at Mount Thorley, near Singleton in the Hunter Valley, NSW. You will drive maintenance strategy, lead projects and implement reliability initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background, 5+ years mining experience, and strong knowledge of CMMS (SAP) and risk management.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering or mechanical trade.
• Minimum 5+ years in open cut mining environments.
• Experience with risk management and document management.
• Experience leading maintenance strategies and project work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver optimum infrastructure at minimum cost.
• Maintain statutory compliance and incident investigation processes.
• Conduct failure analysis on downtime and component failures.
• Scope, design and implement site engineering projects.
• Improve safety, reliability and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with maintenance and planning teams for continuous improvement.
