Reliability Engineer — Waste Recycling Plant

Job summary

Re.Group, an Australian-owned recycling and resource recovery business, is seeking a Reliability Engineer to keep our facilities running safely, efficiently and reliably. Working with maintenance and operations teams, you will improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.

You will own reliability initiatives, perform root cause analyses, and contribute practical solutions that strengthen maintenance practices across sites in Victoria.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years' maintenance or reliability experience in recycling, manufacturing or heavy industries.
• Strong troubleshooting, fault analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and root cause analysis.
• Ability to interpret OEM manuals, drawings and technical docs.
• Proficient in using CMMS, preferably MEX.
• Committed to safety and collaborative work.

Responsibilities

• Improve equipment reliability, availability and maintenance efficiency.
• Analyse performance, trends and recurring failures to identify solutions.
• Lead RCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and optimize maintenance strategies to reduce costs.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment.
• Maintain accurate records, asset registers and work orders.
• Manage spare parts inventory and critical spares availability.
• Coordinate contractors and suppliers for technical support.
• Deliver small improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
• Share knowledge and support maintenance capability development.
