Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking a Reliability Engineer to optimize performance, integrity, and safety of critical mining infrastructure. The role emphasizes data-driven failure analysis, preventative strategies, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on high-stakes projects.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in reliability engineering within industrial or energy sectors, and may hold CRE or related certifications. Travel to sites and project meetings is expected.

Reliability Engineer

Are you passionate about ensuring operational excellence and reliability in complex systems? Chandler Macleod is seeking a dedicated Reliability Engineer to join a Tier 1 Iron Ore Mining client. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in optimizing the performance, integrity, and safety of critical infrastructure, contributing to the success of high-stakes projects. Required Skills:

• Proven experience in reliability engineering within industrial, manufacturing, or energy sectors
• Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, failure analysis, and failure modes
• Ability to interpret complex data, perform root cause analysis, and develop preventative solutions
• Proficiency with reliability software and asset management systems
• Excellent communication skills and team collaboration abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 55000 or IEC standards
• Experience with predictive maintenance technologies like Vibration Analysis or Condition Monitoring
• Exposure to safety management systems and risk assessment methodologies

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of reliability engineering experience in a relevant industry
• Prior experience working on large-scale projects with multidisciplinary teams

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel as required for site inspections and project meetings
• Certifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or similar are advantageous
