  • The ideal candidate is an experienced Release Management professional with a proven track record delivering releases within large scale technology transformation programs.
  • Demonstrated success coordinating releases across complex Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and SAFe is highly regarded.
  • Practical knowledge of ITSM, change management, release management and service transition governance.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management across multiple levels.
  • Experience delivering service transition outcomes including operational readiness and knowledge transfer.

ASIC's IT Service Management (ITSM) team is currently seeking a Release Manager to join their high performing team to ensure the reliable, secure and effective delivery of technology services across ASIC's RegistryConnect program.

  • 24 Month Fixed Term, Full-time position
  • Salary from $154,355 to $170,686 (depending on experience) + 15.4 % superannuation

The team

The IT Service Management (ITSM) team supports the delivery of reliable and secure technology services across ASIC. The team oversees critical service management processes, vendor and asset management, disaster recovery and continuous improvement to enhance service quality and minimise business disruption.

The role

As the Service Transition and Release Manager, you will lead and coordinate service transition and release activities for the RegistryConnect program, ensuring high quality, well governed deployments and operational readiness. Working closely with Service Management, Technology and Program stakeholders, you will support seamless releases and reliable service operations across one of ASIC's key transformation programs.

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of releases across the RegistryConnect program, ensuring timely, high quality and well governed deployments.
  • Partner with Service Management, Technology and Program stakeholders to coordinate service transition activities, manage dependencies and ensure operational readiness.
  • Monitor release delivery, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, issues and scheduling conflicts that may impact deployment outcomes or service continuity.
  • Assess, communicate and manage cross project dependencies and competing priorities to support successful release outcomes.
  • Facilitate release governance forums, maintain the release schedule and support the planning and execution of scaled Agile releases.
  • Provide support for planned release activities outside standard business hours, including occasional weekend deployments when required.
About you

The ideal candidate is an experienced Release Management professional with a proven track record of delivering successful releases within large scale technology transformation programs. They will thrive in complex Agile environments, bringing strong stakeholder management skills, a proactive approach to risk and dependency management and a deep understanding of ITSM and service transition practices. Highly organised and collaborative, they will be passionate about ensuring operational readiness, seamless deployments and the successful transition of services into business as usual operations.

In addition, you will have:

  • Proven experience delivering outcomes within large scale business and technology transformation programs.
  • Demonstrated success coordinating releases across complex Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience working with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) will be highly regarded.
  • Practical knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM), change management, release management and service transition governance practices.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels of the organisation in a fast paced delivery environment.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering service transition outcomes, including operational readiness, service acceptance, support model implementation, knowledge transfer, support documentation, hypercare activities and the transition of services into business as usual operations.
