We help people with their banking, super, retirement and finances. Through upturns, downturns, recessions, and major life transitions. Every day, we help people see and make more of their financial potential, so that they can create their tomorrow. And we've been doing it for over 170 years.

If we do our job well, we genuinely add to the prosperity of our country and its people.

How you'll make an impact

As a Release Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, predictable and efficient delivery of technology change across AMP's North Platform. Acting as the custodian of release governance, planning and deployment practices, you'll work across multiple delivery teams to coordinate complex releases, reduce delivery risk and improve release predictability. This is a highly visible role where you'll partner with developers, architects, platform engineers, production support teams and business stakeholders to help drive seamless implementation outcomes and continuous improvement across a leading wealth management platform.

You'll have the opportunity to modernise release engineering practices through increased automation, improved CI/CD capabilities and stronger release controls. Your expertise will help uplift engineering discipline, optimise deployment processes and ensure the North Platform continues to deliver reliable and high-quality technology outcomes to advisers, customers and internal stakeholders.

What you'll bring to the role

We're looking for an experienced Release Engineer or DevOps professional who thrives in complex enterprise environments and enjoys bringing structure, governance and automation to large-scale technology delivery. You'll bring hands‑on experience managing releases across multi‑team environments, coupled with strong knowledge of SDLC practices, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, change management and operational readiness. Experience working with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy or similar release tooling will be highly regarded, along with exposure to modern Microsoft technology environments.

Success in this role will come from your ability to influence stakeholders, coordinate competing priorities and navigate complex delivery landscapes while maintaining a focus on quality, risk management and continuous improvement. You'll be a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills, a passion for automation and a genuine desire to help engineering teams deliver technology faster, safer and more efficiently.
