Job summary

Showtime Consulting Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead complex enterprise release activities across multiple Salesforce environments. You will coordinate governance, environment management, deployment planning, and CI/CD delivery practices with cross-functional teams including Dev, QA, and Security.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as Release Manager or similar enterprise delivery role.
• Experience across Salesforce Core, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Commerce Cloud.
• Strong understanding of release governance, change management, and environments.
• Hands-on with version control and CI/CD tooling.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi-environment releases and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end release delivery across SIT, UAT, Pre-Prod, and Production.
• Coordinate release planning, scheduling, deployment, and post-release support.
• Own release scope, code freezes, gating, and readiness reviews.
• Lead Go/No-Go meetings and provide release status to stakeholders.
• Maintain release artefacts, docs, plans, and calendars.
• Coordinate Change Requests and CAB approvals, governance activities.
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, DevOps, Platform, Ops, and Security teams to ensure success.
• Support branching strategies and deployment automation; oversee CI/CD pipelines.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead and coordinate complex enterprise release activities across large-scale Salesforce environments.
This role is ideal for an organised and proactive professional with deep experience in release governance, environment management, deployment planning, and CI/CD delivery practices. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of releases across multiple environments, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing change approvals, and driving continuous improvement of release processes.
Working closely with delivery teams, developers, testers, DevOps engineers, platform specialists, security teams, and business stakeholders, you will oversee the end-to-end release lifecycle while maintaining quality, compliance, and operational stability across production and non-production environments.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end release delivery across SIT, UAT, PPT, and Production environments.
• Coordinate release planning, scheduling, deployment execution, and post-release support activities.
• Own release scope control, code freeze governance, deployment gating, and release readiness reviews.
• Facilitate Go/No-Go decision meetings and provide release status reporting to stakeholders.
• Manage release artefacts, deployment documentation, implementation plans, and release calendars.
• Coordinate Change Requests (CHGs), CAB approvals, and release governance activities.
• Work closely with development, testing, DevOps, platform, operations, and security teams to ensure successful releases.
• Support branching strategies, version control processes, and release promotion across environments.
• Oversee CI/CD pipeline activities and deployment automation initiatives.
• Coordinate release validation, rollback planning, risk mitigation, and environment readiness activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of release management processes, tooling, and governance frameworks.
• Provide Hypercare coordination and Production support during critical release windows.
• Manage release risks, dependencies, issues, and escalations across multiple delivery streams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure delivery timelines align with project and business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with organisational change management, security, and operational standards.

What You'll Need

• Demonstrated experience as a Release Manager, Environment Manager, Deployment Manager, or similar enterprise delivery role.
• Experience managing releases across complex Salesforce environments including Salesforce Core, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Commerce Cloud.
• Strong understanding of release management frameworks, governance controls, and change management processes.
• Experience managing releases across multiple environments including SIT, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production.
• Hands-on experience with version control and source code management platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, or Git.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices, release automation, deployment pipelines, and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience working with Salesforce deployment tooling including SFDX and sandbox-based deployment processes.
• Experience coordinating Change Requests (CHGs), CAB approvals, and enterprise change governance activities.
• Proficiency with delivery and collaboration tools including Jira and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of release gating, rollback planning, environment promotions, and deployment controls.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent releases within fast-paced enterprise delivery environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience delivering releases within large-scale Salesforce Commerce Cloud or enterprise digital transformation programs.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, infrastructure automation, and environment provisioning.
• Experience with Jenkins and advanced CI/CD pipeline orchestration.
• ITIL certification or demonstrated experience operating within mature IT Service Management environments.
• Experience working within government, regulated, or highly secure enterprise environments.
