Job description

Overview

Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

Role

We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Relationship Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager, Emerging & Growth.

A bit about your role

The Relationship Manager role within nbn’s New Developments team focuses on enabling the timely rollout of new network infrastructure by building strong partnerships with property developers, consultants, government bodies, and internal stakeholders.

The role is responsible for proactive customer engagement throughout the development lifecycle, managing program milestones, driving on‑time delivery, customer satisfaction, and revenue outcomes, and acting as an escalation point to resolve issues.

By coordinating operational agreements, ensuring compliance with government policy, and promoting early industry engagement with nbn, the role supports efficient network deployment while strengthening nbn’s market position and long‑term customer relationships.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience within the telecommunications or infrastructure sector, including managing the end to end lifecycle of new development applications for developers, builders, and end user customers.

It demands well‑developed influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to facilitate and deliver outcomes in a regulated environment.

Success in the role is underpinned by solid telecommunications and civil construction knowledge, strong commercial and business acumen, adaptability to changing technology and business conditions, and the ability to prioritise effectively while working within governance frameworks.

A project management qualification, advanced Microsoft Office and CRM skills, and relevant operational experience are also essential.
