Job summary

Barwon Health in Barwon Downs, Victoria, is seeking a Rehabilitation Physician to provide specialist rehabilitation services and lead outpatient teams. The role focuses on diagnosis, program development and collaborative care for patients with functional impairments.

Qualifications

• Basic medical degree with registration to practise in Australia (AHPRA).
• Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine with advanced training.
• Driver’s licence and ability to travel as required.
• Experience in Rehabilitation Medicine and working in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert diagnosis, management and treatment for functional impairments.
• Develop individualised rehabilitation programs tailored to patient needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated care.
• Lead multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
• Provide clinical leadership in rehabilitation program development and implementation.
• Foster teamwork, respect and patient-centred care.
• Communicate prognosis, goals and plans with patients and families.
• Participate in governance activities, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high ethical standards and professional behaviour.
