Job summary

IPAR, part of the MedHealth network, is seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant in Melbourne to support clients across Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Osteopathy within occupational rehabilitation.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to help clients return to health and work, liaising with employers, medical professionals and insurers, and preparing high-quality reports that drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Osteopathy.
• Full professional registration with AHPRA or ESSA EP accreditation.
• Experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is valued but not essential.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Driver’s license with access to a vehicle and comprehensive insurance.

Responsibilities

• Case management with manageable caseloads and rehabilitation assistant support.
• Assist clients to return to health and return to work outcomes.
• Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals and insurers.
• Work across workers compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare and DVA schemes.
• Prepare timely, high-quality reports with findings, recommendations and reasoning.

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, some of your day to day includes:

• Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants havethe support of Rehabilitation Assistants toalleviate administrative tasks);
• Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
• Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals, and insurers to provide clinical updates and ensure alignment of rehabilitation goals.
• Work across various schemes such as workers compensation,compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare & Department of Veteran's Affairs
• Prepare timely, high-quality reports outlining findings, recommendations, and clinical reasoning.
