Job summary

IPAR in Melbourne is seeking Rehabilitation Consultants with a background in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Osteopathy to join our Occupational Rehabilitation team. You’ll work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary group to support return-to-work outcomes for clients.

You’ll manage caseloads with support from Rehabilitation Assistants, liaise with employers, medical professionals and insurers, and prepare high-quality reports. New graduates welcomed.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Osteopathy.
• Full Professional Registration with AHPRA or Full ESSA EP Accreditation.
• Experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Compassion, kindness and empathy.
• Driver's License with access to own car and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Case management with support from Rehabilitation Assistants for administrative tasks.
• Assist clients with returning to health and returning to work outcomes.
• Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals and insurers for updates and aligned rehab goals.
• Work across schemes such as workers compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare & DVA.
• Prepare timely, high-quality reports outlining findings, recommendations and clinical reasoning.

IPAR are seeking individuals with a professional background in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Osteopathy interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Melbourne

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, some of your day to day includes:

• Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks);
• Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
• Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals, and insurers to provide clinical updates and ensure alignment of rehabilitation goals.
• Work across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare & Department of Veteran's Affairs
• Prepare timely, high-quality reports outlining findings, recommendations, and clinical reasoning.
