Job summary

MediRecruit is recruiting a Rehabilitation Consultant to join a leading national workplace rehabilitation provider in Orange, NSW. The role suits Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists who want to apply their clinical skills in occupational rehabilitation, managing their own caseload and collaborating with employers, insurers and treating practitioners.

You will help injured workers recover and return to safe, durable work by applying injury recovery knowledge,

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology with AHPRA or ESSA registration.
• At least 1 year of experience in allied health.
• Exposure to occupational rehabilitation and case management.
• Experience writing comprehensive reports to deadlines.
• Strong communication, time management and organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel and hold a current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workplace rehabilitation and injury management cases from assessment through to return to work.
• Apply knowledge of injury recovery to recommend strategies for a durable return to work.
• Use sound clinical reasoning in assessments and case management decisions.
• Build relationships and negotiate with injured workers, employers, insurers and treating practitioners.
• Prepare clear, high-quality reports meeting client, scheme and legislative requirements.
• Meet service standards, reporting timeframes and return to work targets.
