Job summary

Kairros is seeking a Rehab Consultant in ACT with professional backgrounds in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology to deliver tailored occupational rehabilitation services. The role offers part-time flexibility and a supportive team culture.

You'll work across workers compensation, third party, Comcare schemes, conduct worksite assessments, collaborate with employers and healthcare professionals, and guide clients through recovery to return to work.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
• Full Professional Registration with AHPRA or Full Accreditation with ESSA as an Exercise Physiologist.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored occupational rehabilitation services to clients with physical and psychological conditions.
• Conduct Worksite Assessments, ergonomic assessments and functional capacity evaluations to guide return-to-work plans.
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals across schemes such as workers compensation, CTP, Comcare and employer-funded programs.
• Provide tailored interventions to support recovery and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiology interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector.

You'll guide clients through their rehabilitation journey, supporting their return to health, work, and everyday life. This includes delivering tailored occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of physical and psychological conditions, and helping them achieve sustainable recovery and return-to-work outcomes.

Some of your day to day includes:

• Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals across various schemes such as workers compensation,compulsory third party,Comcare, and employer-funded injury prevention programs
• Partnering with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs and assistthose with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
• Conduct WorksiteAssessments, ergonomic assessments, functional capacity evaluations and workmatch assessments to determine current capacity, pre-injury duty goals and suitable duties available.
• Liaise with treating parties and stakeholders to create tailored graded return to work plans to assist your client reach their functional and work related goals.

You'll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below!

• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology
• Full Professional Registration with AHPRAregistration orFull Accreditation with ESSA as an Exercise Physiologist
• Strong interpersonal skills- there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders!;
• Excellent Time management and organizational skills
• Empathy, paired with genuine compassion and kindness, makes all the difference in this role.
• Patience and resilience -essential for navigating challenges and supporting clients through their recovery journey
• A current NSW Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insuranceis a must!
