Job summary

Office of Sport NSW is seeking a Regulatory Operations and Systems Lead to drive transformation and digitisation of regulatory services. Based at Sydney Olympic Park with flexible work arrangements, you will lead a portfolio of projects delivering modernised systems and improved business processes.

Reporting to the Manager Regulation, you will oversee governance, benefits realisation and cross‑government collaboration to achieve measurable outcomes.

• Salary ranges from $133,348 to $146,945 + super & leave loading.
• Temporary, Fulltime - 12 months opportunity with the possibility of extension
• Based at Sydney Olympic Park location – flexible work arrangements will be considered.

About the role

The Office of Sport is seeking a highly motivated Regulatory Operations and Systems Lead to drive the delivery of complex transformation, digitisation and business improvement initiatives within the Regulation team.

Reporting to the Manager Regulation, you will lead a portfolio of projects focused on modernising systems, improving business processes and supporting the successful implementation of regulatory reforms. Working across government, industry and service providers, you'll play a key role in shaping how regulatory services are delivered while ensuring projects achieve measurable outcomes, stakeholder confidence and long-term operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of digitisation, systems improvement and process transformation projects to improve regulatory operations and service delivery.
• Engage, influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support project outcomes, manage risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team while overseeing project governance, reporting, change management and benefits realisation activities.

About you

You are an experienced project and transformation leader with a proven ability to deliver complex initiatives in dynamic environments. You thrive on solving complex problems, building strong stakeholder relationships and turning strategic objectives into practical outcomes.

With strong communication and leadership skills, you can confidently navigate competing priorities, lead organisational change and bring people together to achieve shared goals. You are passionate about improving systems, processes and customer outcomes through innovation and evidence-based decision-making.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex projects, including business improvement, system implementation, digitisation or organisational transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including budgeting, resource allocation, governance and milestone tracking.
• Experience leading organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams while building collaborative stakeholder relationships.
