Responsibilities

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are currently looking for a Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our growing team who will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation and oversight of Xe's regulatory compliance framework across Australia and New Zealand. The role focuses on ensuring the business complies with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory obligations, and industry standards. The Regulatory Compliance Officer provides advice on regulatory matters, monitors legislative and regulatory developments, supports regulatory reporting and compliance assurance activities, and works closely with business stakeholders to embed regulatory requirements into products, services, and business operations. The position plays a key role in maintaining a strong culture of compliance and ensuring the organisation meets its regulatory obligations in a dynamic regulatory environment.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regulatory Reporting: Prepare, coordinate, and support the submission of regulatory reports, returns, notifications, and filings to relevant regulators. Monitor reporting obligations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission in accordance with regulatory requirements.


• Regulatory Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programmes to ensure employees understand their regulatory obligations and responsibilities. Promote a strong culture of compliance across the business through ongoing education and guidance.


• Policy and Procedure Management: Review, maintain, and update compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks to reflect changes in laws, regulations, industry standards, and business activities. Support policy implementation and ensure regulatory requirements are effectively embedded within business operations.


• Regulatory Remediation and Compliance Assurance: Support the identification, assessment, and remediation of regulatory compliance issues, control gaps, and audit findings. Coordinate remediation activities with relevant stakeholders, monitor progress against action plans, and assist in ensuring timely and sustainable resolution of compliance matters.


• Regulatory Advisory and Business Support: Assist the Head of Compliance APAC in providing day-to-day regulatory compliance advice and guidance to business stakeholders. Support the assessment of regulatory impacts arising from new products, services, business initiatives, and regulatory developments.


• Regulatory Projects and Strategic Initiatives: Support the delivery of regulatory compliance projects and strategic initiatives, including regulatory change implementation, licensing activities, regulatory engagements, compliance framework enhancements, and other priorities identified by the Head of Compliance APAC.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Law, Economics, Business Administration Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.


• Minimum +2 years of experience in AML/CTF environment or Compliance Risk management.


• Experience writing policies and performing compliance risk assessments.


• Strong analytical, operational, and problem-solving skills are a must.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Well versed in Excel, Power BI and data analysis, with high attention to detail.
