Job summary

Myhealth is seeking a friendly Registered Nurse for a maternity cover role at Forest Lake, Brisbane. The position runs for 5 months with potential extension and options for ongoing work across clinics.

You will work closely with GPs, perform clinical assessments, immunisations, and procedure assistance, while ensuring high-quality patient care. Required AHPRA registration and Mandarin proficiency, with preference for general practice experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration is required.
• Mandarin speaking is essential.
• General practice experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously when required.
• Strong multitasking and prioritisation abilities.
• Experience with Best Practice software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with GPs to deliver patient‑centred care.
• Conduct advanced clinical assessments and audits.
• Administer immunisations to patients.
• Manage treatment room operations and supplies.
• Perform ECGs, Spirometry and ABI tests.
• Assist in clinical procedures and wound care.
• Support chronic disease management initiatives.

About the role

We're looking for a friendly and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Forest Lake team!

This is a maternity cover position, designed with flexibility and opportunity in mind. Initially, this role will cover a 5-month period, with possible extension. After this, the opportunities include:

• continued 1 day per week at Forest Lake
• float nurse across a number of clinics
• part/full-time employment at another clinic pending availability

A day in the life:

• Work closely with GPs to provide the best patient care
• Conducting advanced clinical assessments
• Administrating immunisations
• Treatment room management
• ECGS/Spirometry/ABI
• Assisting in procedures
• Wound care and chronic disease management
• Other related duties as required

What we're looking for:

• Current AHPRA Registration
• Mandarin speaking (essential)
• General practice experience (preferred)
• Excellent communication and strong customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously when required
• Strong multitasking abilities and effective prioritisation of workflow
• Best Practice software experience (desirable)
