Job summary

Opal HealthCare in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our aged care team. You will provide high-quality clinical care, support residents with complex health needs, and collaborate with families, GPs and the broader care team to deliver safe, person-centred care.

As a valued team member, you will guide care staff, ensure accurate documentation and medication practices, and contribute to ongoing care planning and outcomes for residents living across our 89-bed community.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Strong clinical assessment, care planning and medication management skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation and relationship-building skills.
• A calm, respectful and compassionate approach to resident care.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to complete pre-employment medical and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred care to residents in line with individual care plans.
• Complete clinical assessments, monitor changes in residents’ health and escalation concerns as required.
• Administer and manage medications safely and accurately.
• Provide wound care, pain management, dementia support and chronic disease management.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to care planning reviews.
• Support, mentor and provide clinical guidance to care workers and enrolled nurses.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, GPs, allied health professionals and internal teams.
• Promote resident dignity, independence, safety and quality of life.

About the Role

• $40.10 - $51.76 (DOE) base rate + Penalty rates , Penalty rates for weekends and public holidays, plus 12% superannuation.

As a Registered Nurse in aged care, you will provide high-quality clinical care, support residents with complex and age-related health needs, and work closely with families, carers, doctors and the wider care team.
