Mid North Coast Local Health District is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Renal service. The role delivers high-quality nursing care to patients requiring renal services in an acute setting, within a multidisciplinary team.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, ensuring safe, evidence-based treatment and strong clinical judgement. You will work a seven-day rotating roster including public holidays and night duty, in a patient-centred environment.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
• Renal nursing experience is highly regarded but not required.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse - Renal, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients requiring renal services within an acute healthcare setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based and outcome-focused treatment. You will work closely with patients, their families, medical officers and allied health professionals to support patients throughout their treatment journey. The role requires strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering person-centred care. You will also contribute to maintaining high standards of clinical practice and participate in a seven-day rotating roster, including public holidays and night duty.

About You

You are a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and achieving positive health outcomes. With current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you bring sound clinical knowledge and experience within an acute healthcare setting, along with the ability to adapt to changing patient needs and clinical priorities. You have well-developed clinical assessment and problem-solving skills, enabling you to make informed decisions and provide safe, effective care. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build positive relationships with patients, families and colleagues, while your ability to utilise information technology supports accurate clinical documentation and effective care coordination. You thrive in a collaborative team environment and have the ability to plan, coordinate and deliver patient-centred care alongside a multidisciplinary team. Experience in renal nursing will be highly regarded; however, we also welcome applications from nurses with a genuine interest in renal care and a willingness to learn and develop within this specialised field.
