Job summary

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service’s Baralaba MPHS is seeking a registered nurse to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe patient care and contribute to continuous improvement within your scope.

You’ll be an enthusiastic clinician with current AHPRA registration and emergency nursing experience; triage or postgraduate emergency credentials are highly regarded.

Welcome to Baralaba MPHS — a modern, purpose-built facility delivering quality healthcare with a strong community focus.

Opened in 2012, we provide 24/7 acute inpatient, emergency, outpatient and residential aged care services. Our spacious and contemporary facility features comfortable inpatient rooms, private ensuites and beautiful rural views.

With a two-bed Emergency Department, Telehealth support and close links to Rockhampton for emergency retrievals, our team delivers responsive care when it matters most.

About the role:

• Deliver great patient care. Provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Be part of the team. Work alongside nursing, medical and allied health professionals to deliver holistic, person-centred care in a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
• Use your expertise. Apply your clinical knowledge, critical thinking and professional judgement while working within your scope of practice and the four key ANMC competency domains.
• Grow your career. Build your autonomy and confidence, take accountability for your practice and develop your skills as you progress from a developing to an experienced Registered Nurse.

About you:

• You're a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and recent acute nursing experience. Emergency Nursing experience, triage qualifications or postgraduate Emergency experience will be highly regarded.
• Strong clinical knowledge, problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering safe, high-quality, evidence-based care while identifying opportunities to improve services.
• Confident communicator who can provide clinical leadership, support colleagues and work collaboratively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Committed to continuous learning, quality improvement and creating a safe, supportive workplace and take on a portfolio lead role for one of the eight NSQHS Standards and participate in the Baralaba clinical on‑call roster.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $128,480 p.a. is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $44.27 - $56.79 p.h.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
• 17.5% leave loading
