Job summary

Sydney Adventist Hospital is seeking a compassionate Part-time Registered Nurse for the Kress Ward, a 25-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. You will assess patient needs, deliver care, administer medications, and support recovery in a patient-centred environment, reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Prior acute care experience with AHPRA registration is required. A rotating roster including weekends and public holidays applies.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 12 months' experience in acute care.
• Ability to commit to a part-time rotating roster, including weekends/public holidays.
• FIM qualification is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care in rehabilitation setting.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Support patient recovery and independence through rehab activities.
• Contribute to personalised rehabilitation plans with the multidisciplinary team.

About The Role

We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Registered Nurse to join our team in the Kress Ward, a 25-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. Reporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll be at the heart of delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You’ll be working alongside a fantastic multi-disciplinary team of Allied Health professionals, all focused on helping our patients achieve their personal rehabilitation goals. Your role will involve assessing patient needs, providing care, administering medications, and ensuring each person feels supported and comfortable throughout their recovery journey.

This is a rewarding role where you’ll work closely with patients recovering from a range of conditions, providing both physical and emotional care as they rebuild their independence. What We Are Looking For

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with at least 12 months' experience in an acute care setting.
• Ability to commit to a part-time rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience in providing patient-centred care and contributing to personalised rehabilitation plans.
• Functional Independence Measure (FIM) qualification is highly desirable, but not essential.
• Full Australian working rights.
• A compassionate, professional approach to care, with a genuine passion for supporting patients on their rehabilitation journey.
