Plastic Surgery Queensland brings together a team of highly experienced plastic surgeons and dedicated clinical nurses, committed to providing exceptional, patient-centred care.

Our specialists provide comprehensive care across trauma and reconstructive surgery, breast and head & neck reconstruction, skin cancer and melanoma treatment, as well as a range of aesthetic and cosmetic procedures.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our dynamic clinical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with a strong clinical background who is interested in developing their experience within the fields of plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.

Working alongside highly regarded specialists, you will play an important role in providing high-quality patient care throughout the surgical journey, from initial consultation through to post-operative follow-up.

Previous cosmetic nursing or injecting experience is desirable but not essential. We are particularly interested in nurses with strong clinical skills, excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care, including wound management, dressing changes and suture removal

Assist surgeons with in-room procedures and clinical treatments

Provide patient education and support throughout the surgical journey

Manage patient follow-up and liaise with patients to ensure continuity of care

Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in accordance with clinical standards

Coordinate patient flow and contribute to a smooth and positive patient experience

Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses and the wider clinical team

Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of nursing practices, processes and protocols

Support a high standard of clinical governance, infection control and patient safety

About You

We are looking for a nurse who is clinically capable, compassionate and committed to delivering an exceptional standard of patient care.

You will ideally have:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Previous experience in a clinical nursing environment

Demonstrated experience in wound care and dressing management

Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills

Excellent attention to detail and clinical accuracy

A professional, approachable and compassionate manner

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Excellent organisation and time management skills

A genuine interest in plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery

Cosmetic nursing or cosmetic injecting experience is highly regarded but is not essential. Training and support will be provided to the successful candidate where required.
