Registered Nurse - Parents and Babies Service

Responsibilities
  • The Registered Nurse will provide a range of services to support parents and babies in the transition to parenthood.
  • Deliver clinical care including assessment, complex care and management planning for families with early parenting challenges.
  • Work in partnership with families to address individual needs and link to external services for long-term support as required.
  • Establish and provide contemporary early parenting services and improve service responses to meet the needs of children and their families.
  • Provide individual consultation and support, and group education programs.
  • Promote the parent-infant attachment model of care and evidence-based practice in providing care.
  • Work with relevant external stakeholders and ensure effective communication.
Qualifications

Applicants must have relevant qualifications and current experience within the Nursing or Midwifery domain with post-graduate qualifications and experience in Early Parenting Care Maternal and Child Health.

Employment Type

This is a Part Time 0.5 FTE opportunity.
