Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Paediatric Registered Nurse to join the Paediatric Unit on a temporary part-time or casual basis. You will deliver patient-centred care to children from birth to 16 years, collaborating with a supportive Paediatric team to ensure safe, compassionate treatment.

The role requires current AHPRA registration and paediatric experience. Flexibility with a rotating roster and CVAD knowledge is advantageous; influenza vaccination is mandatory for

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide paediatric nursing care for patients from birth to 16 years.

Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Please outline your recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality, incuding any experience in special care nursery environment.
  • Please demonstrate your ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.

Please give an example of your use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care.
