Job summary

UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families - St Stephens Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Oncology Ward at St Stephens Private Hospital. You will deliver safe, holistic, patient‑centred care within a supportive multidisciplinary team and be involved in chemotherapy‑related responsibilities.

With a Bachelor of Nursing and AHPRA registration, you will collaborate to uphold patient safety, participate in ongoing professional development, and contribute to high‑quality cancer

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months’ experience in an acute care/hospital setting.
• Previous chemotherapy experience.
• Up-to-date Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course (ADAC) certificates.
• Bachelor of nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality improvements.
• Desire for ongoing professional development.
• Availability to work across a fortnightly rotating roster.
• Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and holistic care on the Oncology ward, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver exceptional person-centred care and effective communication with patients and families.

Your part in our St Stephens team

As part of the Oncology ward, you will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You’ll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills
