Job summary

Mercy Community is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Residential Aged Care Facility in Nudgee. This casual role offers the chance to join a dedicated team focused on resident-centred care and quality of life, with night shifts available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and competent clinical management and nursing interventions in accordance with recognised standards of practice and monitor and oversee staff practices to ensure a coordinated approach to resident care.
• Ensure residents, their families and significant others are included in the care planning process and engaged in decisions affecting the resident.
• Coordinate and monitor the planning, implementation and evaluation of service outcomes and nursing care standards.
• Prepare ANACC documentation so that funding is optimised.

Job description

Mercy Community are on the search for an experienced Registered Nurse for our Residential Aged Care Facility in Nudgee. This is a casual role with the opportunity to join a highly experienced, passionate and resident focused team.

This position is responsibility for coordinating person-centred care to residents and supervision of staff across one or more clusters within the residential care facility. Working collaboratively within a professional team to provide excellent care and to improve the independence and quality of life of all residents. Our Residential Aged Care facility in Nudgee is a unified community that extends across 4 single-levelled buildings surrounded by several hectares of landscaped gardens.

This role involves but not limited to:

• Providing safe and competent clinical management and nursing interventions in accordance with recognised standards of practice & monitor and oversee staff practices to ensure a coordinated approach to resident care
• Ensuring residents, their families and significant others are included in the care planning process and engaged in decisions affecting the resident

About you

• Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in leading a team and supervising staff
• Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, visa holder with no work restrictions
• Current and valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (NDIS Yellow Card) or ability to apply
• Must be able to cover night shifts
