St John of God Geelong Hospital invites applications for Night Duty Registered Nurses to join the Medical/Oncology/Haematology and Palliative Care ward. The role delivers overnight patient care, collaborating with clinicians to provide acute medical services and cancer treatments in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Applicants must hold AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse with recent acute inpatient experience.

Competenze

The modern and up-to-date hospital has an accident and emergency department, a comprehensive surgical program supported by a 12-bed critical/intensive care unit, rapidly growing cardiology, medical, rehabilitation, and cancer services.**About the role**We are seeking **Registered Nurses** to join our Medical/Oncology/Haematology and Palliative Care ward in a dedicated **Night Duty** role. You will provide comprehensive patient care overnight, working alongside various clinicians to deliver acute medical care (respiratory, renal, geriatric and general medical) and specialised cancer treatment, including oncology, haematology and palliative care.**Please provide a short, one page cover letter with your application out lining your compatibility for the role and whether you are looking for full time or part-time hours.****The Position*** Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.* Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.* Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.* Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff.* Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse, with recent acute inpatient experience and demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
