Job summary

Southern Cross Care Queensland is seeking a casual Registered Nurse to join the Karinya Residential Aged Care Home in Nanango. You will provide compassionate, high-quality clinical care under a Clinical Manager, mentoring staff and coordinating with doctors, families and the care team to ensure residents receive personalised care.

The role requires an active AHPRA RN, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a dedication to improving the lives of older people.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration.
• Strong clinical focus delivering holistic, resident-centred care.
• Knowledge of chronic conditions, palliative and dementia care (desired).
• Dedicated to caring for older people and living the values of respect.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork in a care setting.
• Right to work in Australia.

About the role

In this role you will join a team of highly skilled compassionate Registered Nurses in providing excellence in clinical care for our residents. You will work under the leadership of an experienced Clinical Manager to deliver advanced clinical and holistic care to our residents. Providing support and supervision to your team members, you will champion a strong teamwork approach to resident’s care. You will liaise with medical practitioners, family and other multi-disciplinary team members ensuring excellence in personalised care. Most importantly, compassion and empathy accompany your clinical talent, alongside building relationships with our residents based on dignity and respect.
