Uniting NSW & ACT is seeking a registered nurse to lead clinical care in our aged care setting at Uniting Kari Court, St Ives. You will develop and evaluate personalised care plans, provide clinical services, and advocate for residents’ quality of life within a supportive team.

Applicants should have a nursing degree with current AHPRA registration and be committed to compassionate, person-centred care. National Police Check and pre-employment screening apply.

• Registered nurse with current AHPRA registration.

• Ability to lead and supervise care teams.

About Uniting Kari Court

Based in St Ives, Uniting Kari Court is a welcoming, close-knit community made up of four households, each home to up to 14 residents. It provides specialist dementia support to just 55 residents, ensuring truly personalised care in a calm and supportive environment.

Our Household Living approach brings the comfort of a family home to everyday life, empowering residents to live their day, their way. What you'll be doing in this role

• You will be a clinical leader in the service, and you will develop, deliver and evaluate resident care plans to meet the individual needs of our residents
• You'll need sharp clinical assessment skills and will take the lead in providing clinical services
• Get to know each resident and become a fundamental part of their life
• Play an important role in making sure the care provided meets residents' individual goals
• You'll liaise with medical and allied health professionals and residents' family members to advocate for clients' quality of life
• Supervise and support our Personal Care Workers
• Practice in a holistic way, using your critical decision-making skills to lead the team.

Registered Nurses who are new to aged care, or those in their first or second year of practice who have not previously completed a Graduate Nurse Program, are encouraged to participate in Uniting's Aged Care Transition to Practice Program. This supportive program is designed to build confidence, enhance clinical skills, and provide a strong foundation for a rewarding career in aged care

Who we’re looking for

• You'll have previous registered nursing experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin a career in aged care if you have nursing experience in the wider health sector.
• You'll be adaptable, empathetic, resourceful, a great time manager, and be able to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
• You'll be committed to contemporary aged care nursing practice.
• You'll hold a nursing degree with current AHPRA registration.
